Holiday CheerOctober 7th, 2008 @ 5:05 am

Yesterday I had a chance to sit down and stamp. The first thing I had to do was to check out the new sketch at 2Sketches4You. From there I chose my colors directly from the Frosty Day designer series paper. The base is Bashful Blue and is matted with Close to Cocoa and Frosty Day designer series paper. The vertical strip is Tangerine Tango that was scalloped with my scallop edge punch and then layered with more Frosty Day designer series paper. I then used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole on each end and put my Kiwi Kiss striped ribbon through to tie. Following the sketch I knew I wanted to do something with the mittens from Scandinavian Season, so I made a rack for them to hang on. The sentiment was then added in Chocolate Chip ink. The stamp is from the Elegant Cheer stamp set.
We had a fabulous day yesterday. The weather was in the mid 70’s and the boys and I played outside for most of the afternoon. We have to enjoy it while we can because before we know it November will be here with the freezing cold rain. I hope you all had a great day too.

What a beautiful card! When I first saw the colors of the Frosty Days DSP, I didn’t think they looked very “wintery”. Well, I LOVE what you’ve done with them! Those mittens are too cute and I love the way you hung them from the pegs made out of brads! Very clever! Great job! TFS!
